Rubbish Collection
Day & Time: Your second pick-up day of the week, Thursday or Friday. Set out the night before or prior to 7:00 a.m.
Location: At curb/edge of property only, never in the road.
Method: Rubbish can no longer be placed in cardboard boxes, since boxes themselves must be recycled. Small rubbish items must be broken down and contained in bags or bundled & tied. See specifics below.

Acceptable Rubbish Items
Furniture Pieces
No more than two pieces per pick-up; any metal should be removed from the furniture.
Books
Hardcover and paperback books.
Sofa Beds
Remove metal bed frame.
Wood Pieces
Not to exceed 4 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter; must be tied in manageable bundles.
Carpeting
Must be rolled and tied (not folded); rolls not to exceed 4 feet in length.
Latex and Oil Paint Cans
Paint must be dried out in the cans before disposal. Lids off cans and not bagged.
Ceramic Toilets and Sinks
Leave whole; metal fittings must be removed.
Holiday Season Trees and Wreaths
Will be picked up by your Highway Department after the season.
Automobile tires
Tires will NOT be collected on the route. Tires without rims may be brought to the Maxwell Avenue Facility. Truck tires will not be accepted.
WOOD FRAME WINDOWS WITHOUT WEIGHTS OR CHAINS, PANE GLASS, SHOWER DOORS/SLIDING GLASS DOORS will not be collected on the route. They must be brought in to the Maxwell Avenue Facility.
Automotive tires - will not be collected on the route. Tires without rims may be brought to the Maxwell Avenue Facility. Truck tires will not be accepted.
